There is no direct relationship between them putting your logo on their site and the planting of ten trees. It is a way for them to help get you exposure. And that exposure will bring support; hopefully the financial kind.

Companies spend millions in advertising. Why? because it works. A well thought out campaign, can make or break a company. So, why do Non-Profits not spend the time doing this?

All too quick, charities accept the donation, send out the obligatory thank-you card (if that even happens) and move on. The donor is left with the nice warm feeling that they have just done something for the greater good...but what?

I will guarantee you that 4 out of 5 of Non-profits reading this do not recognize supporters on their Website. And if you say that you are, you are probably doing it wrong. You probably have them listed, but they're hidden on some page that has an outdated list of your supporters. Why is this wrong?

Non-Profits feel they need to have the the big companies donate the large cardboard cheque to be able to operate. You really don't! Although the big cheques are nice, they are few and far between. So, what's the answer? Rely on your community.
